What the contact sheet remembers
On the photographs that almost never made it out of the darkroom.

A contact sheet preserves the photographs before anyone decided which ones mattered. The frames sit together in an unedited sequence, allowing a small gesture or accident to keep its place in the story.
In an archive of street photography, these overlooked images often reveal more than the chosen print. We see the pause before a portrait, the movement at the edge of a scene, and the people outside the frame.
To revisit the sheet is to remember that every image has another life beside it.
